The Positive Catalyst: Monica Coram

Monica Coram's commitment to Culinary Care is rooted in the power of community and the impact of collective efforts.

For Monica, giving back is about taking responsibility and meeting a need.

"Giving back holds significance to me as I am committed to supporting my community. My sister Amanda went through chemo and cancer recovery and is now in remission. Because of that experience, I've witnessed the unmet needs in my surroundings, and it spurred a sense of responsibility to contribute positively."

The act of giving back isn't just altruistic for Monica, it's deeply personal and empowering.

"Getting involved in the community brings about a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Instead of waiting for others to take action, I have embraced the role of being a catalyst for change."

Monica is a dedicated member of our Associate Board, participates in meal deliveries, runs with #TeamCulinaryCare, and attends and volunteers with events. Her involvement is a testament to her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to making a difference.

"There are many fun activities to participate in with Culinary Care—from the Corporate Cook-Offs, to meal deliveries, to the annual Gourmand Gala, and more. All have a great impact on the cause and people we are supporting. I am able to see tangible results and the impact of our work unfold before my eyes, reinforcing my belief in the power of the community we have created."

Her favorite part? The camaraderie and sense of purpose she feels among like-minded individuals.

"One of the most rewarding aspects of working with Culinary Care is engaging with individuals who share a common dedication to making a difference. It's truly heartwarming to be surrounded by like-minded people who are actively striving to create positive change."

Monica's vibrant energy and unwavering commitment inspire us all to be catalysts for positive change. As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, let's honor Monica for her dedication and passion. Thanks to Monica, our community is brighter, stronger, and filled with hope!
