The Courageous Advocate: Ana Corona
Ana Corona's story isn't about accolades, it's about selflessly serving her community driven by her deep understanding of the challenges faced by those battling cancer.
Why?
Because Ana's commitment to giving back is deeply rooted in her own battle with cancer.
"Helping to deliver meals is important to me because I know from firsthand experience how vital it is to have people in your corner and have one less thing to worry about when you have cancer."
For Ana, community involvement isn't just a duty, it's a profound calling that resonates deeply with her journey.
"I've met some incredible people while volunteering with Culinary Care, and it has been a beautiful way to honor being in remission.”
As a Culinary Care Associate Board member, Ana has brought such light to our community and is always looking for ways to invite new volunteers into our mission.
"Volunteering with Culinary Care has been a major highlight of moving to Chicago! My office is very close to the hospital, so I've been able to bring some of my coworkers to volunteer and get them involved. I've learned so many people are looking for opportunities to volunteer but just don't know where to start, so this has been a simple way to get them engaged."
As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to thank Ana for her unwavering commitment and compassion. Ana is shaping a world where every cancer survivor finds solace, resilience, and nourishment within the embrace of community care!
