OUR FOUNDING STORY

In 2006, during my junior year of high school, my dad was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. The prognosis was daunting—5 months to 5 years—but he passed away just seven months later. It was an incredibly difficult time, but the kindness of friends and family who brought us meals lifted a huge weight off our shoulders. Their generosity allowed us to focus on what truly mattered: cherishing every moment with my dad.

That experience left a lasting impact on me. Seven years later, it inspired me to start Culinary Care. While I can no longer share a meal with my dad, Culinary Care is my way of ensuring other families facing cancer can share meals and moments of love, just like we did. For me, food is more than nourishment—it’s a way to show care when words aren’t enough.
