The Compassionate Connector: Sara-Jessica Dilks

In the midst of life's complexities, there stands a beacon of compassion and connection: Sara-Jessica Dilks. SJ's story isn't about seeking recognition, it's about giving back to her community in a way that honors her late mother's memory.

For SJ, giving back is deeply personal, rooted in her mother's battle with ovarian cancer.

"After my mom died of ovarian cancer, I was looking for an opportunity to give back in a way that would feel like she was with me. Culinary Care was the perfect match because it combines our shared love of great food, event-planning, and connecting with new people."

Being involved with Culinary Care has been a source of healing for SJ.

"Culinary Care has helped me heal within my own grief journey, and it's been so powerful to see the stories of Culinary Care patients who are benefiting from my time and contributions."

What SJ finds most fulfilling about her work with Culinary Care is getting to put her natural skills and passions to work for a cause she truly believes in.

"Culinary Care allows me to channel my natural passion for publicity and networking into a cause that means so much to me."

As a rockstar member of the Culinary Care Associate Board, SJ's efforts have made a huge impact. Her knack for connecting with others and getting them involved in our mission, combined with her genuine passion, shines through in everything she does. During National Volunteer Week, we want to give a huge shoutout to SJ for her unwavering dedication and heartfelt contributions! SJ is a true hero, helping create a world where love, healing, and generosity are always on the menu!
