How RBC Wealth Management Champions Employee Engagement and Team Building Through Culinary Care’s Mission

With an estimated 2,000,000 cancer diagnoses expected in 2024 according to The American Cancer Society, it's clear that cancer touches the lives of everyone. That's why companies like RBC Wealth Management are stepping up to make a difference—not just by donating funds but by actively participating in the mission to provide nourishing meals to cancer patients.

At RBC Wealth Management in Palos Heights, they understand the profound impact cancer can have on their employees and the community. Since 2022, Culinary Care has been privileged to work alongside the RBC team to make nourishment a core part of cancer care. Through this partnership, RBC Wealth Management is creating meaningful engagement opportunities for their employees while simultaneously strengthening their commitment to corporate social responsibility.

By participating in initiatives like the annual Corporate Cook-Off Challenge, RBC employees get hands-on experience with Culinary Care’s mission in a fun and rewarding way. This interactive team-building experience encourages employees to work together, communicate effectively and foster camaraderie, all while learning about the two approaches to nourishment – thoughtfully prepared meals and compassionate care.

Beyond team building, the RBC Wealth Management team takes their involvement a step further by participating in meal deliveries. This kind of direct engagement allows employees to connect with Culinary Care’s mission on a personal level, deepening their sense of purpose. Teresa, a valued member of the RBC team, shared her personal connection to the cause:

"I feel very fortunate to work for a company that understands the challenges a cancer diagnosis presents and wants to do everything they can to ease the burden for others.

I was on the receiving end of Culinary Care’s nourishment, so I know first-hand how essential this program is. It means a lot to see RBC doing their part to make this mission accessible to more people."
